Hi! I’m Kendra owner of Avad Doula Services. The Hebrew word עבד (ʿavad, pronounced uh-VAHD) is a Biblical Hebrew verb meaning “to work, do, serve.” I am currently a student of EDC (The Elite Doula & Co). I will be serving the women of Coshoction Ohio and the surrounding areas as a birth doula & childbirth educator. A few Fun facts about me: Born in 1996. Grew up in a Christian household with 2 sisters and 1 brother. I am the second child. Worked as a CNA for 2 years. Got Married in 2019. I love thrifting. I don’t like flying. Summer is my favorite season. I am a cat lover. Faith, Family & Friends are very important to me.

As a young girl I was fascinated with birth. Growing older that passion never really left me. I still am always intrigued listening to someone’s “birth story”. Fast-forward to 2019 I married the love of my life and we were excited to start our own family. Well God had other plans. . . . 6 years later I had endometriosis surgery after many unanswered questions as to why we are struggling with infertility. God reignited my passion and directed me to one of my dreams of becoming a doula! It has been made so clear to me that this is right where God wants me to be at this moment in my life! I want to serve women around me while also trusting in Him that one day we too will be holding our own little miracle!
